I’m after a RAT-style distortion pedal that won’t break the bank. That said, I’m fine with spending more if it’s really worth it. I’m playing through a Baritone Telecaster and a silver stripe Peavey Bandit. Any ideas?
The Black Secret is my go-to. Hard to beat for the price.
Joyo Splinter all the way.
What’s your budget? A RAT is already pretty affordable.

Exactly. Just grab a used RAT and you’re good to go.
I’ve got the Mosky RAT clone… sounds great, especially on turbo mode. On my main board, I use a Ratsbane, which is also fantastic.
Joyo Splinter is good, but heads up—it might start self-oscillating at lower settings. Adding a buffer before it solves that problem.
