I’ve been feeling really unmotivated to play lately because everything just sounds terrible. My playing feels off, my amp isn’t great, and my tone is a mess. Even when I play something I know really well, it still sounds bad. It’s just frustrating!
I’ve been there too. Sometimes everything just feels off, even if you know the songs by heart. Have you tried tweaking your amp settings? Sometimes even small changes can make a big difference to your tone.
I second that! When I was frustrated with my tone, I spent time playing around with my amp and pedal settings. Even experimenting with my guitar’s tone knobs helped. Don’t give up just yet sometimes it’s a matter of finding the right sound.
I’ve been feeling the same way lately, and it’s so discouraging. One thing that’s helped me is switching to different styles or genres. It gives a fresh perspective on my playing and keeps things interesting. Maybe give that a try?
Man, I hear you. My tone was horrible until I realized my amp wasn’t suited for what I wanted to play. Do you know what kind of tone you’re aiming for? Sometimes changing up gear or adding a pedal can really help.
It’s all part of the learning curve, unfortunately. Even great players have days where they hate their sound. One thing I’d recommend is recording yourself it can be cringy at first, but it helps you figure out what’s not working.
I’ve had this exact same feeling! It really knocked my motivation. What helped me was jamming with others getting feedback, learning from their setups, and just having fun can reignite your passion. Give it a go if you can.
