Replacing the Volume Pot on My PRS SE

I’ve been having some issues with the volume pot on my PRS SE DGT, and I’m looking to replace it. However, I’d prefer to do this without making any modifications to the guitar. Could anyone recommend a suitable brand or model that would be a direct fit?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my PRS SE a while back! I’d recommend checking out CTS pots. They’re high quality, and I believe they offer some models that are a direct fit for PRS SE guitars without the need for modifications. Just make sure to get one with the correct resistance (usually 500k for humbuckers).

for CTS pots! They’re pretty reliable and durable. I’ve swapped out the volume pot on my SE Custom 24 with a CTS, and it fit perfectly. Also, make sure the shaft length matches your guitar’s original pot. Some can be a little too long or short depending on the model.

I actually replaced the volume pot on my SE DGT not too long ago! I went with a Bourns potentiometer. They’re super smooth and have a great taper, plus they fit right in without any modifications. Personally, I think the Bourns pots feel better when turning the knob compared to CTS.

Another option you could consider is Alpha pots. They tend to be cheaper than CTS or Bourns, but they’re still decent quality. I’ve used them on a few of my mod projects, and they do the job. They should fit your PRS without any issues, but make sure to double-check the specs before buying.
