Just got my first Telecaster today… any advice or tips?

I found it for around 100 euros on this local classifieds forum from an older Russian guy. It’s in amazing condition, sounds fantastic, and honestly feels way better than what you’d expect for the price. He even made the strap himself with a strap lock system! Super happy with this find, but any tips on getting the most out of a Telecaster?

So you mean our Telecaster?

Haha, yeah, I guess you could say that… sharing it here with everyone! :blush:

Isn’t it funny? It was originally a Telecaster, but over there, they renamed it Lenincaster, and there’s even a cheaper version called the Stalincaster!

And if you try to put the Stalincaster down, it shocks you.

A Communist-style guitar from a guy who grew up there… that’s actually really cool!

Congrats on the guitar, comrade!

So… what would Siberian country twang sound like on that thing?

That strap looks like it’s made for shotgun shells!

Haha, you nailed it! It’s actually a cartridge belt. The guy who sold it to me used it for hunting back in the Soviet Union before turning it into a guitar strap.

@Wilkie
That’s awesome!

I could totally see someone doing that but with mini liquor bottles!
