Anyone tried the new DBA Raw Power yet?

I haven’t seen much talk about this on the forum. I’m not super knowledgeable about power supplies, so I’d love to hear your thoughts. The new DBA Raw Power claims to be the only power supply you’ll ever need and costs just $35. But then you’ve got these pricey isolated power supplies going for $300 or more. Seems too good to be true, right? What’s the catch?

I need something affordable to power 8 pedals, including a couple of high-draw ones like the Hologram Microcosm. Think this could work for me?

Would appreciate any input from you all!

It’s just a DBA-branded generic power supply made in China. Probably because people kept asking them, ‘What supply works with my Fuzz War?’ So they decided to sell one themselves.

Looks like a fancy daisy chain setup, sort of like a boutique 1-Spot. The usual downsides apply—noise issues when powering multiple pedals, and it won’t handle 18v.

The marketing hype is strong with this one :latin_cross:

It’s got way more output than a typical daisy chain. A 1-Spot maxes out at 1700mA, but this goes up to 3A. Might also be a bit quieter. For the price, it’s not a bad alternative to an isolated power supply. Here are the specs:

  • Input Voltage: 100-240VAC
  • Nominal Output Voltage: 9 VDC, Center-Negative
  • Max Output Current: 3A
